Jay Electronica – Jazzmattaz (Guru Tribute)

I truly feel that Jay Electronica is one of the best, if not the best, doing it right now. His message is transcendant and his music is honest. Ever since seeing his performance at Bonnaroo (picture above from after performance), it only confirmed what I had originally thought; this guy is on a different level. If you truly listen, then you’ll catch what I’m talking about. Below are two incredible songs. The first is a tribute to the late great Guru with Primo on the beat. The second is a song with The Bullitts, an electronica band out of the UK that features narration from Lucy Liu. The video for it is below as well.
