Pretty Lights Music is kinda killing the game right now. They just announced the signing of their newest artist, Slovenian producer Gramatik, to join the likes of Paper Diamond, Break Science, and Michal Menert. He’s already known worldwide for touring with acts like Pretty Lights, The Glitch Mob, and Mimosa, he’s sold over 80,000 tracks on beatport.com in the last two years, and his hip-hop remix of Led Zepp’s “Stairway To Heaven” recently went straight to the top on the HypeMachine. His new album, Beatz & Pieces Vol. 1, is due out July 12 and so far it’s sounding like some pure heat rock.

Gramatik Explains:

The Beatz & Pieces  series comes as a successor to the popular Street Bangerz  series which was my first work as a producer. I never really considered these volumes to be albums.  I always looked at them as hip-hop beats on steroids. They are still raw, sample based beats, but with evolved arrangements and wrapped in a fine layer of live instrumentation.  And the reason I started adding live instruments is because I felt that classic hip-hop beats without vocals lose me after two minutes.  I want to keep the listener through the whole track!
