I hate remixes so it takes a great one for me to like it. A mixtape full of remixes? Well that tape would have to be exceptional. Both continuing to provide a different take on a song while still respecting the initial product. It would have to be downright dopeness. Weirdly enough in comes Portland’s own Chi Duly to provide an interesting and noteworthy take on some of the best songs from The Weeknd’s 2011 trilogy of fire tapes. Grab this and vibe. Tracklist. I don’t like remixes. Certain artists will always garner a listen and occasionally an exception comes along. When an artist on a song demands an mp3 of a remix be made available you can usually bet it’s legit, and that’s exactly the case of this remix by Shlohmo whom The Weeknd begged to release this after he performed it live. This is dope.

If you’ve got 10 minutes to spare I highly recommend checking out this short film of Skrillex’s Mothership Tour. The film documents all the aspects of the tour, including all that went into the ridiculous on-stage production that is “The Cell” (Forreal, the motion capture suit is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen). You’ll also get to see some  skate footage from their downtime where Skrillex sticks about 6 flawless heelflips. All in all, great documentary from the biggest name in EDM.

We’re absolutely stoked to be collaborating with Scoremore x LND RNRS Clothing to bring you Paper Diamond right here in Oklahoma City this Sunday, February 12th, at Kamps Lounge (1310 NW 25th Street, OKC). The dude Alex B. (formerly of Pnuma Trio) had a HUGE 2011 after his solo project Paper Diamond was signed to Pretty Lights Music, and he’s seen continued success in 2012 with no signs of slowing up. His upcoming EP Paragon is sounding pretty nice so far- Check out some of his recent releases after the jump and be sure to come out on Sunday; it’s looking to be an epic night, with Mannachine and Crystal Vision joining in on the face-melting festivities  (You can grab tickets in advance here for $12, or $15 the day of the show).

This is actually a fun remix with a distinctly different feel than the original (and that ridiculous Skrillex remix) although I can’t stand hearing this Etta James sample anymore. Stream/DL below

Bassnectar has been lowkey killing it for about three years now. He just made an announcement for his 2012 tour, and the dates have been included below. Above is a recap of Bassnectar’s 2011 where he sold more hard tickets than any other EDM artist. (Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Skrillex, etc) Watch the above video as he plays for over 200k people in 2011.
