2012 will be a great year for a lot of artists if they live up to their potential. However, nobody has more promise to set the world ablaze this year than TDE’sKendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q. Kendrick Lamar is the best rapper alive and ScHoolboy Q is not far behind. Watch above as they speak about upcoming projects, the music industry, and more.
Schoolboy decided to give Nightmare on Figg St. the visual treatment with all sorts of goonish and creepy activities coinciding. Go cop HnC. Ball so hard.
Schoolboy Q recently just recently released his project, Habits & Contradictions, and now delivers us the video for “Hands On The Wheel“. The song features A$AP Rocky and the video was directed by Jerome D. Grab HnC here on iTunes and also check out the sample after the jump.
I know I cannot be the only one who loves ScHoolboy Q and Kendrick collaborations. Both of these artist have grown on my tremendously since I first heard each of them. Both are extremely talented artists. They both did amazing on this track. I love how real the lyricism is. I think ScHoolboy Q‘s project, Habits & Contradictions, will be straight fire. Look out for Habits & Contradictions which drops January 14th.
Schoolboy Q has been talking about releasing this on his twitter all day and finally after a few complications he has put it out. With Q and Ab Soul already having a track “Druggys With Hoes” they throw the “Again” in there. The two are able to make another good version while still keeping a few elements from the original.
One of my personal favorite members of TDE and Black Hippy, Schoolboy Q, released this new track of his via twitter today. “My Home” is produced by none other than the famouse Alchemist. Schoolboy’s is said to be working on his followup to Setback and Alchemist has other projects due out in the near future.
Here is the Young Money Militia Member’s first effort under that label. This mixtape from Cory Gunz is keeping up with what Lil Wayne set in motion by putting Cory on his single and then having a show on MTV. Dope features include Tity Boi, ScHoolboy Q, Meek Mill, Mack Maine, and other YM artists. Definitely worth checking out from the son of Peter Gun. Get it below after the tracklist.

The ScoreMore x pairadimeMusic collab is doing it again. We are bringing in one of the most incredible up and coming talents the game has seen in a long time. Oklahoma City happens to be ahead on the curve on this one, so let’s take advantage of it. It will be at 1310 Lounge (Historical Kamp’s building) THIS SUNDAY.
Kendrick Lamar is a LOCK for XXL Magazine Top 10 freshman; he has been in the studio with DR. DRE for the past 2 MONTHS; he dropped one of the BEST hip-hop EPs I’ve heard in a very long time last year; he is one of J. Cole, Kevin Durant, and Dr. Dre’s favorite artist doing it right now. This opportunity really doesn’t happen very often to see someone just before they launch off into stardom. He will never play a small, intimate venue again after this. We happened to have been able to get him ALL-STAR WEEKEND! After he brought out Dr. Dre on stage in L.A no less! I know it seems I’m trying to oversell this but I’m really not, the kid is a legend in the making and a can’t miss star. He is an absolute phenom and I believe in him. I would truly hate for anyone to miss this because we may never get that opportunity to bring him in like this again after this 1st Texas/OKC invasion. I feel like I could write a dissertation on why this man will be great. But, I’m going to stop. I just am asking you all to please trust on this. He is bringing his TDE label mate Schoolboy Q who dropped an amazing project, Setbacks, this year and is on many of Kendrick’s greatest songs. I believe in this show. I really do. You can also check out the Dallas group Sore Losers who happen to be tight with one the local openers and OKC household name, Jabee.
It is also Myke Brown’s 21st birthday that weekend, so we are going to have a party bus taking people to OKC from Norman and back after the show. The only way to get on the bus is with a ticket to the show. That’s a pretty legit way to spend a weekend. Presale price is $12, and they go up to $17 the day of the show and at the door. You can get TICKETS at any of the following:
